Time + Place:

Thursday May 14 for a 30 minute orientation to the pattern and fabric options 7-7:30 pm on Zoom

Saturday and Sunday May 16 and 17 - Full sewing days 10-2 pm with a break for lunch

Saturday May 23 - 10 to 12 pm finish and ask final questions if needed.

10 hours of live Zoom sewing instruction

Pattern: Hellen’s Closet Falconer pants

Teacher: Joan Goodspeed

What are we doing?

This pattern is great for so many bodies! When I make pants I have trouble fitting my leg to torso and have to grade or alter the pattern significantly. With the Falconer pants there were very little modifications and all the fun.

Come make yourself a pair with me as your guide, and I’ll help you figure out the fly. After avoiding them for my whole 20 year professional career I can safely say they are not bad.

This pant comes in a straight leg or barrel shape, you can make either one but I like the straight leg.

In this course you will learn

  • Reading a parttern and size grading for fit

  • Sewing a zipper fly (it’s totes not scary stop crying)

  • Fitting pants so they look how you want them to look

*Please note I am capping the class at 5 humans
