Using your measurements you will create a custom fit pencil skirt called a sloper. From this sloper you can create many different types and styles of skirt. This is great for people who have been sewing garments for themselves and would like to create their own patterns.

In class we will sew a practice skirt called a mock up and talk about fitting issues and how to fix them.

After taking this workshop you will walk away with your own custom skirt pattern and a few practice skirt shapes like flare, yolk, and one other based off of student interests and time.

This workshop will include the fabric to complete a mock up skirt and a clear grid ruler to keep.

We will take a lunch break, our Long Beach location is close to many restaurants and coffee shops.

Class Requirements

• This class is not for beginners. Since we are taking a deeper dive into ‘Fit’ you must know how to sew and know basics of how garments are sewn.
